Introduction
Why Ledge?
A ledge is a place to stand: solid footing on complicated terrain, and a clear vantage point over what's ahead. That's the role we aim to play for clients — grounded, objective, and positioned to see the whole landscape before recommending a path forward.
Our Founder
Sarah Wolf, FSA, MAAA, founded Ledge Health Advisors after nearly two decades in healthcare actuarial work, across health plans, consulting, and leadership roles. She started Ledge to bring that experience directly to clients — combining deep actuarial expertise with a practical understanding of how healthcare works and how decisions get made.
Sarah brings deep, hands-on experience across health plan pricing, Medicaid capitation rate setting, provider risk, and more-- with the actuarial expertise to dig into the details and the practical perspective to understand what those details mean for a business. At Ledge, clients work directly with Sarah and the actuaries supporting their engagement. We keep teams small, stay close to the work, and focus on giving clients the expertise they need.

What sets us apart
Objective Advice
A perspective shaped by having worked across health plans, consulting, and public programs, seeing the full picture rather than one side of it.
Actuarial Rigor
Every recommendation is grounded in defensible, technically sound analysis — the same standard expected in a regulatory filing or board presentation.
Practical Impact
Strategy only matters if it is implementable. The focus is on recommendations your team can actually execute, not just slide decks.
